What is ChiRunning® ?

ChiRunning® has helped thousands of people since its inception.  Whether you are just beginning a running program or training for a marathon, race, or triathlon, the ChiRunning® approach is one that builds a healthy body instead of breaking it down from misuse or overuse.

ChiRunning® helps reduce or eliminate injury and pain.  Many runners commonly experience problems such as knee pain, hip pain, IT Band Syndrome, hamstring pulls, Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, soreness and fatigue.
 
Conditioning your mind is just as important as conditioning your body. Chi (pronounced chee) is also known as life force.  It is the life-giving energy that unites body, mind, and spirit.  When your Chi is strong, balanced, flowing, and focused, you radiate energy and good health.


T’ai Chi teaches that body alignment, focus on the core, and relaxation release the flow of Chi.  In ChiRunning®, we encourage all movement to come from your center--that place in your self that is home to your greatest potential and power!
